COVID 19 UPDATE
While COVID 19 may have changed how we manage our business, it certainly has not changed our mission. CFC offices are open for limited in-person sessions. Our staff is also offering tele-counseling sessions. We are also still accepting wig appointments on a limited basis.
CANCER FAMILY CARE
has provided therapeutic counseling, education, support, and hope to children, adults, and families touched by cancer in Greater Cincinnati.
IT’S OUR MISSION
Our mission is to strengthen the well-being and alleviate the suffering of any child, adult, or family coping with cancer.
bi3 Awards $50,000 to Cancer Family Care
bi3, Bethesda Inc.’s grantmaking initiative, has awarded $50,000 to Cancer Family Care to build telehealth capacity. This grant will expand CFC’s telehealth capabilities, provide training for our staff, allow us to upgrade our technology to meet our clients’ needs, and help us to provide services to our clients in a safe virtual environment.
bi3 sought proposals addressing health or social needs that impact health outcomes, particularly for people experiencing health disparities. The $50,000 grant award will help build Cancer Family Care’s capacity, strengthen operations and be better able to meet future needs.
“bi3 is dedicated to addressing health disparities,” said Jill Miller, President of Bethesda Inc. “During this unprecedented time, we feel it is essential to help community organizations like Cancer Family Care with resources they need to ensure all citizens have access to services.”
This grant is part of a larger bi3 effort to invest in local nonprofits as they continue to adapt to provide services virtually amid the pandemic. Since 2010, bi3 has awarded nearly $50 million in grants to TriHealth and community-based organizations to fund innovative ideas to transform health and healthcare.
